Home Interior Trends- How To
Over the years, we can all agree that we have completely transformed a room, or even your whole house to keep up to date with top trends. But there comes a time where these ‘trends’ are no longer popular or aesthetically pleasing to even look at… What may be in fashion now, may not necessarily be in fashion 10 years from now!
So, in saying that, what can you do when updating your house to fit our 2017 Home Interior Trends and making sure your ‘on trend design’ will be popular for many years to come? All of us here at Professionals Avon Valley have done all the hard yards and compiled all the information on top tips and tricks to make your home trendy for the years to come! (you’re welcome.)
- When following a new eclectic trend, ALWAYS try to create the trend with a materialistic item, NOT a dramatic change like crazy paint, coloured carpet, coloured tiling, etc. You never know when this update may become expired. This way, when it’s time to reinvent your home to suit your taste, it will be less expensive and less time consumed.
- Neutral colours will always be a winner! The look of a fresh grey and white room is aesthetically pleasing for everyone! Add a touch of metallic items, silver wear and a few fluffy pillows and you’ve successfully completed an on trend room!
- 2017 is the year of simple elegance. As the saying goes, less is more. And for interior design, it applies throughout. If you don’t quite understand what I mean by ‘Simple’ then here it is in a nut shell- Simple is minimalism. Minimalism design is using simple and natural forms. Whether that be furniture or decorative items. A spacious room with little furniture and décor is also considered simple. I cant see this trend disappearing any time soon!
- This is something that will never go out of trend in your own home. Why you ask? Because personalisation of your home is all done by you. Your visitors may have a different opinion, but what’s it to them? This could be a painting you did, handmade pillow cases, hand made décor items, etc. Whatever it may be, it’s a representation of your style which makes it personal. A personal touch can make a home, so remember that when you are next thinking of doing a mini renovation to your chosen room.
